Have you ever been out riding and known you just weren't taking your motorcycle to its full potential? That was my first experience with the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout. I rode it in traffic from Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada in Concord to the Toronto core. I knew there was more to this heavy and incredibly well finished machine, but I just hadn't been able to properly unleash it yet.

Hunter S. Thompson said "Anything worth doing, is worth doing right." So I did. I waited until midnight. The night was cold. The temperature was in the single digits celcius (around 48 degrees Fahrenheit). Despite it being June I put on my snow pants. Welcome to Canada, Breakout, time to have some fun together.

When I went to pick up the 2013 Harley-Davidson Breakout, I hadn't rode a 700 pound motorcycle since last season. I wonder if Kanishka Sonnadara knew I was a bit apprehensive as we climbed into his demo Nissan Juke NISMO. We met with Maria Diaz at Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada, signed our lives away, got a tour de bike, and got to work.

Sometime last year I got together with Wobblycat and Mark Gornik and took part in something amazing. Us three lucky guys found two extremely talented and beautiful young women who started contorting and making our jaws drop literally all day long. The performers were Danielle and "G". Wobbly flexed his camera as the "bendy girls" (Mark's words) did contortion and acro all over Mark's custom built Harley and my stock-is-cool-too Suzuki. The photo shoot has been a hit ever since.

I had a problem with my motorcycle's turn signals not working. First they only worked sometimes. Later on in the week my turn signals only worked after the motorcycle was left alone for a few days. I noticed sometimes the turn signals worked if I revved the engine a all the way up to the rev limiter. I feared something electronic and assumed for the worst. It turned out to be a quick and easy fix.

Whenever I hear from people about YouMotorcycle they seem generally surprised and grateful for the information here and it's presentation on the site. Emails from total strangers leave me feeling flattered. Sure, some people complain as well, but every subculture has its stuck-in-the-past scooterista with all of the mirrors. There's one thing I hear whenever I talk to advertisers though. They almost unanimously mention YouMotorcycle is a great looking site. They advertise and send samples here because the site looks good and reviews come out looking great. There's just one problem...

This question jumped into my mind at 5 AM. So much for getting any sleep tonight. Think about your motorcycle. Now think about your dream motorcycle. Now look back at your motorcycle. It's not your dream bike, is it? Maybe you don't even have a dream motorcycle. Maybe you have a list of a few you'd really. I know I do.

I've been riding for 6 years now. In that short time I've owned 11 motorcycles or scooters. I've owned everything from a stable of midsize cruises, to a heavily modified 1990 Honda Hawk GT650 N, to a couple two-stroke scooters. I'm still trying to get it right, but along the way I'm learning what I like, what I dislike, what I keep coming back to, and why.

Ultra Portable Cooking Options to Take with You on the Road

There's nothing better than hopping on your motorcycle and heading down the road for a long trip. Maybe you'll meet up with some biker friends. Maybe you'll drive across several states to see the sights. Maybe you'll just ride out and see where the road takes you.

While you'll need enough gear to keep you well-fed and well-clothed on the road, you don't want to become overloaded. After all, you chose your motorcycle for a reason. Fortunately, there are a number of ultra portable cooking options that meet both criteria. I've come the conclusion that you can either love motorcycling, or you can work in the motorcycle industry, but not both.

Maybe there are a few exceptions. Who wouldn’t mind being a journalist flown to Spain on someone else's dime to test ride the latest and greatest new motorcycle at a press launch? I can tell you first hand the media doesn't have it easy, either. I’ve seen journalists braving out freezing cold storms on machines I wouldn’t want to ride anywhere but the track on a warm sunny day. These guys are tough.

In Ontario we have a three-class motorcycle licensing system. There is a beginner class (M1 - written test), an intermediate class (M2 - riding test), and finally your full M class license. Unfortunately, the vehicle-specific requirements, definition of vehicles, and options available get a little blurry in the bureaucracy, and many small displacement motorcycle and cruiser riders are left in the mess
