Motorcycle Contortionists Photoshoot

Motorcycle Contortionists

Sometimes in life good things happens. Things you never could have imagined, like a girl doing handstand push ups in your condo asking you about doing a photoshoot on motorcycles. Did I mention she can put her feet behind her head?

I reached out to the world famous WobblyCat, an avid motorcyclist, photographer, and superhero. What followed was a full day's event, a first ever motorcycle photoshoot. Two girls on motorcycles doing very interesting things.

Top 10 Motorcycle Stunt Bike Mods

Motorcycle stunt bikes are like an undead version of their former supersport selves. Mutated, mutilated, and deprecated, the stunt bike is sometimes a rattier version of what it used to be... other times, it's a much meaner, grittier, and sharper machine. The stunt bikes are as unique as their individual riders. The modifications are as bold as his or her's courage (and bank account) allow.

Sleazy Motorcycle Ads

Sleazy Ads

Let's get a few facts out there from the very beginning: women in motorcycle advertising have been around forever, they will continue to be, sex sells now as much as ever, this industry is still largely male dominated, and I'm a marketing professional telling you that Mad Men is the most boring television show on the air. BikerPup

Biker Pup

Almost a year ago I adopted a neglected, overweight, out of shape, socially awkward, dumb little dog. Her name was BikerPup, a Pug and Jack Russell Terrier mix. In the weeks and months that followed BikerPup flourished. Her coat was sparkling and soft. She lost weight and built up her cardio and her energy. She became a smarter dog, with a keen ability to recognize and differentiate the sounds of motorcycle engines, and a love for hanging out, listening to music, drinking beer and wrenching with us in the garage.

10 Ways to Find a Job in the Motorcycle Industry

10 Ways to Find a Job in the Motorcycle Industry

This winter I attended a motorcycle industry pub night. I had the pleasure of sharing tables with family-founded businesses such as KYMCO Canada and Motorcycle Mojo. I spoke with a Triumph marketer about MISSRIDER (once his band was done performing on stage, naturally). At the end of the night, CMG Online’s own Rob Harris and Brenda Cyr gave me a drive home.

Since 2007 I’ve been pushing for a stronger motorcycle riding community. Riders are the YOU in YouMotorcycle. At the pub night it struck me how tightly knit the motorcycle industry is in Canada. Everyone knows everyone. Who they work for may change but the faces stay the same. The industry is a small collection of circles. A passion for motorcycles alone won’t get you in, but you can get in. Here are 10 Ways YOU can Find a Job in the Motorcycle Industry.

Greatest Motorcycle Memory

Dad's first ride in 20 years!

For my Dad, who said - among countless other words of encouragement - “That’s a great site!”
This post is just for you. My father hasn't been permitted to drive for the past few years on account of having had brain cancer, leaving him prone to potential seizures. He beat his brain tumor only to be hit with cancer in the central nervous system in his spine. This isn't a sad story. Au contraire, it's my answer to not only what was my greatest motorcycle memory of 2011, but also a day I will remember forever.

Woman Rides Her Motorcycle Alone Across The United States

Woman Rides Her Motorcycle Alone Across The United States

Whether its the freedom, the machine, or the woman herself, everyone can appreciate something of beauty in a woman riding her motorcycle. For some women, a ride around town, or even the state just isn't enough. On July 4th, 2011, Madeline "MISSRIDER" Velazquez set out on the ride of a lifetime: travelling across the United States by motorcycle, all alone, aboard her Triumph Bonneville. She was kind of enough to take a moment to answer some of our questions and tell us about her trip.
