Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Character Changes

The first episode of Sons of Anarchy’s seventh and final season airs tonight. This is post two of three Sons of Anarchy Season 7 posts we’re sharing before the premier at 9 PM EST on FX. This post is looking at the changes in characters from the last time we were in Charming, until now.

Tara Knowles is dead

There is miraculous recovery. The doctor died in season six and for good reason. Click here for a refresher as to the Four Reasons Why Tara Was Killed.

Clay Morrow is dead
Again, no miracles here.

Sheriff Roosevelt to be replaced by …?
Besides a brief stint blackmailing Juice, and the loss of his wife, Sheriff Roosevelt didn’t get a lot of attention last season… Until he died. This leaves his passing last season leaves an opening for a new Sheriff.

More camera time for these five characters

Nero Padilla will be stepping up his game this season with even more camera time, suggesting that his role in or around the club will be taking a more center stage. This isn’t surprising based on Nero’s romance with Jax’s mother, Gemma Teller, who just killed Jax’s wife. Drama drama drama!

Happy Lowman gets a new tattoo of a smiley face for every person he kills. It should come as no surprise that with the recent, uh, “turnover” that the club has been seeing, Happy will finally be taking on a more active role. We’re looking forward to the man of few words opening up a little more.

Wendy Case is Jax Teller’s junky ex-wife, the mother of Jax’s son, Abel, Gemma’s preferred “old lady” for her son, oh, and she recently co-conspired with Tara to get Jax’s children out of Charming. Wendy seems to have her sights aimed squarely at what’s best for the kids, with no interest in Jax… Right? We’ll see.

Charles Barosky is the corrupt former cop the club used to work and partner with from time to time. Barosky helped the club set up a brothel-like “legitimate business.” Corrupt former cop Barosky playing an active role as a main character in season seven indicates either a turn towards legitimate business, or a whole lot of stuff about to hit the fan.

Ratboy‘s real name isn’t even important. He’s known simply as Rat, or Rayboy. He was a Sons of Anarchy Prospect for a while, and one of the most recent members to be patched in. Ratboy will be stepping up for the club this season.

Strange guest appearances

Marilyn Manson will be guest-starring as a drug addict high ranking member of a Neo-Nazi prison sect. If you haven’t put it together yet, jail time is ahead for at least one Son.

That girl from Glee a.k.a. Lea Michelle will be serving up some buns mid-way through the season when she makes a guest appearance as a single mom and truck stop waitress. Yummy.

The Cosby Show kid a.k.a. Malcolm-Jamal Warner will have a recurring role.
