Let’s Roll Motorcycle Dolly & Lift Review

Today I’m reviewing the Let’s Roll Motorcycle Dolly and Lift. This two-in-one duo lets you jack up your motorcycle for service, and to put it on top of this small space-saving dolly. This can be really good for people with tight garages who want to save some space, and for people who want to do more of their own maintenance and save some money.

One cool thing about this combo, is that the dolly and lift are made in the USA.

Unfortunately, the system is not compatible with all motorcycles. It won’t work with my Kawasaki Z900RS, my BMW F700GS or BMW G650GS. I do have a way of making it more compatible with more motorcycles, which I’ll share later in this video. For now, I know it’s compatible with my Triumph Bonneville so let’s just test this out and see how it works in real life.

Assembly

Assembly was easy and straightforward and could be done with a basic socket set or a wrench. You can pretty much go from the picture. Just be sure to note which side the casters with the wheel lock go on.

You’ll also need to lubricate the shaft of the motorcycle jack, which I forgot to show, but the lube is included and it’s easy to do.

Using the Let’s Roll Motorcycle Dolly and Lift

If this is your first time using the Let’s Roll Motorcycle Dolly and Lift, I’d recommend doing it with a buddy. I was working solo my first time which meant I was being extra cautious and moving really slowly, but with a friend you’ll fly through everything.

The first thing you’re going to do is put your motorcycle in gear. Next, slide the jack under your motorcycle, paying special attention to make sure it won’t hit anything but your frame as you extend the jack up.

You might also want to put a piece of 2×4 under the kickstand because jacking it up smoothly will be easier if your motorcycle starts from a more level position before you start lifting.

The first time I jacked up the Bonneville, the jack was too far forward and it felt like the whole bike wanted to tip up in the front. I had to apply downforce on the front end with one hand while jacking with the other and I didn’t like it.

I decided to lower the bike back down, set the jack as far backwards as possible and try again, this time it jacked up the bike smoothly and much better balanced.

At this point you’re going to just slide the dolly under the motorcycle, and then lower the jack until the motorcycle now rests on the dolly. Now check out how easy it is to roll this thing around. The big casters on this dolly means that it cruise right over minor imperfections on your garage floor.

Value

Now let’s talk about value, whether or not you should buy this product, and what my recommendation is on how to make this better.

The combo kit I got is $629 US and in my opinion the dolly is awesome. I like the small form factor, and you can buy just the dolly for $395, or about $100 less than the last premium motorcycle dolly I reviewed, so it’s a good price for a made in USA product.

Unfortunately the jack falls short of expectations. It was difficult and awkward to work with on my Bonneville. I don’t know why they didn’t go with a jack similar to this, with removable and adjustable little arms rather than long big flat surfaces. This allows way more flexibility in terms of being able to work around a variety of motorcycles and whatever parts they might have sticking out and trying to get in the way.

You can buy one of these jacks for $100 and in my opinion that’s the right move.

Conclusions

The Let’s Roll Motorcycle Dolly is awesome, it’s height adjustable, it’s made in America, it’s small but very sturdy, and once your bike is on there it’ll feel safe, secure, and easy to push.

The jack can be a little unnerving if your motorcycle doesn’t line up perfectly with it, and considering it adds $234 to the price, for what I consider to be a sub par motorcycle jack, I’d say buy the dolly, it’s excellent, but use it with a better, and cheaper jack. You’ll be into it for $495 instead of $629, and you’ll have an awesome setup that’s both easier to use, and also more likely to work with your friends’ motorcycles too.
