After putting fuel stabilizer in a beautiful red Vespa GTS 300, it's time to take it out for a quick ride around the neighborhood to get the stabilizer running through the fuel system before putting the bike away for the Vespa, so why not shoot record it and share a video review of the GTS 300? In this video I'll be sharing a bit about the history of Piaggio (the maker of Vespa), what I love and hate about this scooter, and answers to the five most common questions that new scooteristas ask.Read More »

In a past life I had the opportunity to interview Sabina Heilman, Director of Finance & Communication at KYMCO Canada. Ms. Heilman was on the road, visiting KYMCO dealers across la belle province. She's in a position that's all too uncommon in the power sports industry: a woman with an upper management level position.
I asked her questions about her thoughts on riding and on her experience as a female director in the motorcycle industry. As we cruised down the road listening to the tunes of 97.3 FM, Quebec's Worst Radio Station, the conversation went a little like this...

In Ontario we have a three-class motorcycle licensing system. There is a beginner class (M1 - written test), an intermediate class (M2 - riding test), and finally your full M class license. Unfortunately, the vehicle-specific requirements, definition of vehicles, and options available get a little blurry in the bureaucracy, and many small displacement motorcycle and cruiser riders are left in the mess

Notte Sento. That's italian. Literally it means something like "Night Feeling", but in this case it's a bit of an Italian play on words as Notte Sento sounds a bit like Non Ti Sento, or "I Can't Hear You." This video is the story of a beautiful deaf/mute girl who's train to Milan is cancelled so she must spend the night in Rome. In true italian fashion, she meets a boy. Actually, he's much more than just a boy, he's a rider, and the two of them begin their scooter ride across Rome overnight adventure.
This is a must see, even for the manliest of manly men, and the most sentimental alike. Check it out. You're guaranteed to want to ride a scooter or motorcycle through Rome at any moment.
Once upon a time a beautiful little introvert called Brownie asked me to take a look at a scooter she was interested in buying. In part thanks to my knit-picking, but mostly thanks to her charm, we haggled another $400 off of the price she had already negotiated the seller down to over the phone. A pretty smile and a short skirt trump a man’s better judgement.
This is the story of a young woman called Brownie, her slips and slides on a scooter she named Peppy Tits, the night with her friend, and how they relate to my latest scooter purchase.
